Artist Statement

Featured in private collections across the United States for my encaustic, mixed media, and figurative works, I hold a Master of Fine Arts in painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design. My artwork delves into past events, both personal and historical, exploring the complex emotions these memories evoke—ranging from despair to joy. I believe that life is shaped by how we process memories, and I aim to reflect this through my art.

At the heart of my work is a dialogue between the natural world and the spaces we inhabit. Using encaustic and other materials such as beeswax, wood, and earth pigments, I explore the textures, colors, and forms found in nature. These elements embody the essence of the outdoors and root my creations in both ancient tradition and contemporary practice.
